A two-day colloquium on "Yoga in Life Sciences; Beyond Emerging Possibilities for a New World Order", organized by Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) and the International Yoga Research Foundation on the RGCB campus here. Shri Pinrayai Vijayan, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Kerala inaugurated the function. Professor Chandrabhas Narayana, Director RGCB while welcoming said that this event is aimed at giving a proper perspective to the society about the scientific aspects of yoga. Sri M , the Founder President, The Satsang Foundation, delivered the key-note address. Shri V P Joy, Former Chief Secretary, Govt of Kerala presided over the function. The felicitation addresses were given by Dr Avinash Pandey, Director, Inter University Centre for Yogic Sciences, Dr Rekha Nair, Director RCC, Dr Sanjay Behari, Director, SCTIMST, Prof S K Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar MANUU, Prof Gopalakrishnan K, and Shri A Jayakumar, Member Governing Body, IYRF. Smt Kavita Narayan, Technical Advisor MoHW, Govt of India proposed a vote of thanks. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush, University Centre for Yogic Sciences, Bengaluru, SCTIMST, Thiruvananthapuram, and World Ayurveda Foundation.
