RGCB celebrated the foundation day on 22 November, 2022. The chief guest was Dr. Tapas K Kundu from JNCASR, Bangalore who delivered the foundation day lecture on "Epigenetics and Drug Discovery. Professor Chndrabhas Narayana, Director, while welcoming the gathering, briefly mentioned the growth of the RGCB over the years. Dr. T.R. Santhosh Kumar, Dean formally introduce the speaker. The chief guest also distributed various prizes. The best teacher award was received by Dr. Debasree Dutta, Scientist E-II selected by the M.Sc Biotechnology Batch (2020-22). The top 40% of teachers who taught the M.Sc classes for more than 10hr were given the certificates. The merit award for the best presentation by Ph.D. students was shared between Ms. Feba Shaji (Mentor: Dr. Rakesh S. Laishram) and Ms. Smrithi Krishnan (Mentor Dr. K.R Mahendran). Dr. Jackson James, Scientist G proposed the vote of thanks.
As a part of RGCB foundation day, a quiz competition was conducted. Dr. Devasenana Ananatharaman and Dr. Ananathalakshmy Sundararaman were the quiz masters.
